As you may be aware MHDS have run a scheme in the past, and still do, whereby members and the public could purchase a “seat” within the theatre.
The seat was then identified by a metal plaque attached to it.
Unfortunately a number of these plaques had faded or were becoming sharp, and dangerous, so had to be removed.
You’ll be pleased to know that all the plaques have now been mounted on a special display which is located just as you enter the auditorium from the stairway. The boards, on which they are mounted, are made from pieces of the former stage which was replaced in the summer so your plaques will be “forever on our stage”!
