Benefits of joining Market Harborough Drama Society (MHDS)
Market Harborough Theatre is a vibrant and exciting place to make new friends and join in the huge variety of community, social as well as theatrical events hosted throughout the year. Joining the Drama Society offers plenty of opportunities to get involved in the performances in both back and front of stage roles, to find out what’s going on and get advanced tickets, enjoy the many social and training events or perhaps even get involved in promoting the theatre and its charitable activities. As a member you will receive a copy of our newsletter Backstage in hard copy four times a year as well as receiving member updates throughout the season via email. Backstage is also published in the members section of our website.
Membership Fees
Since we are a largely voluntary organisation, we are able to keep our membership fees low and we encourage new members to set up direct debit payments to settle their fees. We also encourage those eligible to complete a Gift Aid mandate form to allow us to recoup tax taken at source on membership fees.
Membership fees are due annually and there are discounts for students:

How to pay
You can pay for your membership in several ways:
- BACS – Transfer the fees directly to Market Harborough Drama Society, Sort Code – 30 99 50, Account number – 50055368, Reference – Your surname.
- Credit/debit card – Telephone the office during office hours
- Credit/debit card/cash/cheque –Visit the theatre office between 09.30 and 12.30 Monday to Saturday and make the payment in person
- Direct Debit
Direct debit payments are collected in August of each year. Consequently, most members make their first payment via one of the first three methods above and then opt to have future payments collected automatically to reduce volunteer workloads and improve efficiency.
