Trustees of the Market Harborough Drama Society invite you to come to our Open Day on Sunday 10th September from 10am to 4pm for all local residents. Free entry and refreshments.
Our new Patron, Youssef Kerkour will be giving 2 presentations on the day at 12.30 1nd 2.30. He has appeared in Henry IV at the RSC and in several TV productions including “Significant other”, as Sami in the series “Home” and has appeared in “Criminal United Kingdom” with David Tennant. He has been BAFTA nominated and been a Royal Television Society winner.

As this is on the same day as Arts Fresco, we are performing 2 short spin offs from our first Play of the season “The Hound of the Baskervilles, a spoof” which promises to be hilarious. This will take place in front of the theatre in Church Square, behind the Old Grammar School at 11.30 am and 1.30 pm
We are also offering 4 separate guided tours backstage at 10.15am, 10.30am, 11am and 3.30pm and the opportunity to meet current Volunteers in our teams including Wardrobe, Props, Stage Management, Set builders/designers, Lighting and Sound, Hospitality, Membership, will be there to tell you about different departments, and there will be a screen showing some pictures of past productions from our archive. The Box Office will be open in the theatre office.
There will be a Lighting workshop at 4.00pm for those interested in learning about Lighting productions and possibly joining the team. It’s limited to ten people, so book your place at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/harboroughtheatre
You may know that we are a drama society which reaches 90 years old this year!
We are entirely run by Volunteers apart from a paid Administrator and a maintenance person.
