Having sold out for the last three years at his local theatre, Harborough resident and nationally touring & recording artist Gareth John returns with his stellar 5 piece band for his annual ‘Evening of Swing’ concert at Harborough Theatre.
This date is also an extra special milestone for Gareth, as he releases his debut quintet album, recorded at the very same theatre at the 2025 show. Signed copies will be available to purchase on the night and Gareth is once again joined by some of the Midlands’ most prolific jazz musicians, including Zoe Swann, who brought the house down with her stunning vocal and double bass playing talents last year.
This year’s show is a special dedication to singing trumpet players that have inspired Gareth over the years. Expect hits from Louis Armstrong to Chet Baker, Louis Prima and of course, beautiful stylings of swing singers like Mel Torme, Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick Jr and many others. Gareth and the band will also be premiering some of Gareth’s new original material along with a healthy dose of beautifully played instrumental jazz standards.
