Trafalgar Releasing – The King and I
Roger and Hammerstein’s multi-award winning musical comes from the London Palladium. Reprising her award-winning role on Broadway, Kelli O’Hara (Anna) takes to the stage alongside Tony and Oscar nominee Ken Watanabe (The King) in a ‘powerhouse’ (The Times) performance. And Ruthie Ann Miles returns to her award-winning role as Lady Thiang.
Set in 1860’s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King and Anna, a British schoolteacher, whom the modernising king, in an imperialistic world brings, brings to teach his many wives and children.
