Matthew Warchus directs Andrew Scott in this highly acclaimed production of Present Laughter, captured from the Old Vic production of 2019, which is a giddy and surprisingly modern reflection on fame, desire and loneliness. Indira Varma stars alongside Andrew Scott.

Scott plays Garry Essendine, a famous but spoilt actor as he prepares to embark on an overseas tour. Garry’s colourful life is in danger of spiralling out of control. Engulfed by escalating identity crises as his many and various relationships compete for his attention. “Everybody’s against me” is his cry. Garry’s few remaining days at home are a chaotic whirlwind of love, sex, panic and soul-searching.
