Playing Dates 10th-13th December 2025 Open auditions are on 28th September at 7.30pm (19.30) and 1st October at 7.30pm (19.30), both in the theatre lounge.
The play follows Stanley Webber, a former piano player, who lodges with Meg and Petey in their seaside boarding house. This is targeted by two mysterious men, Goldberg and McCann.
Set in the mid-20th century, the play explores themes of identity, paranoia and the breakdown of reality as Stanley’s past and mental state are unravelled, ultimately leading to a chaotic Birthday party and his abduction.
The cast of characters and their playing ages are:
Meg 60’s, Petey 60’s, Goldberg (Jewish) 50’s, McCann (Irish) 30’s, Lulu 20’s, Stanley late 30’s
Rehearsal dates are: 10th-12th November 19.30, 16th-18th November 19.30, 23rd- 25th November 19.30 27th November 19.30, 30th November 13.30- 21.00, 1st-4th December 19.30-22.30, 7th December 13.30- 21.00, 8th-9th December 19.00 NB: some of these dates may be subject to change.
As you can see from the proposed rehearsal dates, we don’t have that long. So please bear that in mind when auditioning.
