Another Successful Youth Summer School

The Market Harborough Drama Society recently held its second Summer School for young people, aged 8-17, in the Harborough area. Almost thirty youngsters came along to the week, run by drama teachers Claire Bower and Lucy Stephenson. They took “The Seasons” as the overall theme, but all of the acting, script and movement was devised by the the young people themselves. The daily classes took place in the theatre and in the Symington Building. All their work culminated in a performance for parents on the Friday afternoon on the Harborough Theatre stage in front of an audience of around 60.

Feedback from the young people and their parents included “Our daughter loved it all and came home tired but buzzing everyday.”, “My child made new friends, gained great skills and got to take part in a production.”
