Two One Act Plays
Two Sisters was the winner of the 2007 Manchester Evening News New Play award. Set in Russia in the 19th Century it is written in the style of Chekhov and features two sisters who arrive home to find coffins in their rooms. Secrets, best kept, are revealed. But there is a sting in the tail.
The Cagebirds will be performed by the stars of tomorrow from our resident Parsnips Youth Theatre. Six ‘birds’ living quite happily in domesticated bliss see their cosy world turned upside down when a new ‘wild’ bird is introduced. Entertaining and thought provoking.
Both plays directed by John Foreman whose recent MHDS productions include Anne Boleyn and The Royal Baccarat Scandal.
Tickets on sale 21st January 2017, £10, concessions £8, (online booking fee applies) or at the theatre Tuesdays and Saturdays 9.30 – 11.30 am
