The World (according to Emma) & Collision
|Parsnips Youth Theatre Presents:
“The World (According to Emma)” written by Claire Parsons.
The world can be a confusing and emotional place to be at any age; but being a teenager who is trying to find your place in it all is probably the most difficult. Emma is just such a teenager and after she fails to get the lead part in the show of her life, she is forced to take a good hard look at who she is. Emma is welcoming the audience into her world as she traverses the pitfalls and obstacles of growing up. This hilarious and touching new play from Parsnips Youth Theatre is a tribute to all of us who ever needed to find out who we really are.
And “Collision”, written by Claire Parsons in repertoire with “ The World (According to Emma )” “Collision” is a contemporary look at the butterfly effect and the consequences our actions can have on the world around us. Just think about it… have you ever snapped at someone when you didn’t need to? Have you ever taken your bad mood out on someone else? Did you walk away? Did you think about the consequences? Sixteen people on a plane, seven people on the ground, all inextricably entwined in this accident waiting to happen. How did these twenty three people come to experience this event together and were they responsible for causing it?
Twenty three people, Five days and One plane.
