Parsnips Youth Theatre – Cat’s Eyes
Parsnips Youth Theatre Presents Cat’s Eyes by Claire Parsons 2 – 4th February 7.15 pm
Schrodinger’s cat – an imagined cat trapped in an imagined box. Until the imagined box is opened the cat, according to quantum mechanics, is simultaneously alive and dead. Until we look in the box anything is possible.
When Nathaniel finds himself faced with a choice he is unsure what to do and his mind takes him back through a life littered with similar decisions, set against the backdrop of World War 2. Will he ever be able to break the cycle and take control of his life?
Then there is the Butterfly, a creature with no idea of the power it has. Of the destruction it could cause. A butterfly flaps is wings in the Amazon and two years later a thunderstorm appears over Kansas. No flap, no storm. This is Chaos Theory.
Rae is only too aware of the storm, it’s been her life for twenty three years… and as she finds herself faced with a choice. Her mind takes her back to reassess why she now refuses to let anyone, but herself, control the path her life takes. Nathaniel and Rae both have a choice.
Cat’s Eyes light our way in the dark, but do we want to follow where they lead?
