Town Wins Comedy Festival Award
Back in February, The Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 took place. Harborough District Council organised “The Big Weekend” as part of that. A number of venues, including The Angel Hotel, Duncan Murray Wines, The Market Hall and The Harborough Theatre, hosted acts as part of that event.
The whole weekend won The Liberty Award for entering into the spirit of The Comedy Festival. Shown above are George Normand (chairman) and Owen Brooks (administrator) with the award as it did a tour of the town as well as a larger picture of the award itself
A big well done to Octagon Films (who Showed the films “Some Like It Hot” and “The Blues Brothers”) and Ship of Fools Comedy (who hosted a Ha Ha Harborough Stand-up comedy night) at the theatre, this award is also for both of you…
